Commercial Fire Communication Solutions
The reliability and flexibility of cellular alarm communication are increasingly making it the first communication channel choice for new installations. In existing systems, many end users are cutting their landlines and upgrading their fire alarm control panels (FACP) to cellular.
Incorporating digital cellular communication capabilities in FACPs can reduce the end user’s monthly phone bill and enhance security, because cellular connections can’t accidentally be downed by limbs or high winds like POTS wires, and can’t be intentionally cut by intruders.
The DMP XR500, equipped with the DMP 463G Digital Cellular Communicator, provides UL-approved cellular FACP communication. The 463G earned the UL864 (9th edition) listing, enabling it to serve as a standalone communications link to Central Stations when used with the DMP XR500 in commercial fire systems. It meets the requirements for the 2002, 2007 and 2010 versions of the NFPA72 code. The Fire Slave input option of the XR500 is also ANSI UL864-listed when used with the DMP463G.
The City of New York Fire Department (FDNY) has approved the use of the DMP IP and 463G cellular transmitter for fire alarm signaling to approved central stations. When installed within a DMP XR100/XR100FC/XR500/XR500FC control panel, the ANSI/UL 864 listed alarm transmitter can be programmed to use a variety of digital cellular networks.
XR500 Panels can be configured with Cellular communications, as well as Dial-Up and Network, and existing panels can be easily upgraded with cellular technology. The 463 Series of Digital Cellular Communicators makes adding cellular as easy as inserting a board. With SecureCom cellular service, DMP dealers have a one-stop source for cellular FACP communication.

Commercial Wireless Fire Devices
The list of DMP wireless devices that have earned the UL Commercial Fire Listing include:
1103 Universal Transmitter: A two-input transmitter with wall and case tamper, typically used in commercial burglary door or window applications.
1100R Wireless Repeater: Extends the communication range of DMP receivers, enabling physically larger, more reliable wireless security systems.
1100XH High Power Wireless Receiver: Provides additional transmit and receive amplification for improved performance at greater distance or in harsh building environments.
Commercial Smoke Detectors: The 1165 smoke detector, 1165H smoke and heat, and the 1165HS smoke and heat with sounder all include a tamper switch that sends a trouble signal if the detector is removed from the mounting base.
1181 Post Indicator Valve: A weather-proof, tamper-resistant wireless switch for monitoring the open position of post indicator, butterfly and other types of fire sprinkler control valves.
1182 OS&Y Switch: Mounts on most outside screw and yoke-type gate valves ranging from ½” to 12” to monitor the valve position (open/closed).
1183 Wireless Heat Detectors: The 1183 Series is a reliable, ceiling-mount heat sensor available in two versions. The 1183-135F responds if the temperature
exceeds 135°. The 1183-135R adds a rate-of-rise feature that responds if the temperature increases by 15°F per minute or more.
