485/485B Firmware Version 201Update
December 28, 2000
Effective the second week of January 2001, all 485 and 485B Access Control cards are being shipped from the factory with version 201 (12/27/00) firmware. This version is an update from the 201 (11/7/00) firmware previously shipped and contains updated operation.
Panel Connect While Remote Link is connected to the panel through a 462N Network Interface card, and at the same time an attempt is made to connect over the telephone line from a service receiver, the panel now does not pick-up and hold the phone line. Previously, the panel would pick up and hold the line, but would not communicate with the service receiver.
Fire Alarm Output After a user inadvertently turns off the Fire Alarm Output through the user menu or Remote Link, the panel now automatically turns the output back on. Previously, the output was not turned back on even though a fire alarm was still in the display and a sensor reset had not occurred.
Display Events Panel events stored in the events buffer that are older than 65,535 minutes are now automatically deleted. Previously, events older than 65,535 minutes viewed through the keypad display events, or sent to a printer using the keypad display events print feature, or requested through remote software were displayed as though they had just occurred.
Wireless Trouble Display When any area in partition three is disarmed, the panel now continues to operate the local printer and does not display wireless trouble in the keypad status list. Previously, these problems occurred when a partition three area was disarmed.
Panel Busy Message When attempting to connect through a 462N card from Remote Link, and the attempt fails due to noise on the serial cable because of a bad connection, the panel now allows a connection in subsequent attempts. Previously, the panel would return -VB (panel busy) on any subsequent attempts until a panel reset occurred.
