Important Product Warning From Inovonics

Important Product Warning from Inovonics Inovonics has recently received reports of a small number of repeaters that have diminished reception capability. This diminished "hearing" has only occurred in repeaters installed in the NEMA enclosure. After investigation, Inovonics has discovered a corrosion caused by sulfur in the NEMA enclosure is the cause of the reduced receive capability. Please note the NEMA enclosure is sold without electronics as an accessory by Inovonics as part number ACC640.

As of January 11, 2001, any NEMA enclosures sold by Inovonics will have gaskets that are free from sulfur. Inovonics recommends that you immediately take the following action steps:

If the site has only fully-supervised, fixed point transmitters, immediately inform the end-user of this potential degradation. Check to make sure every point is communicating.

If the site has any portable or unsupervised transmitters, immediately inform end-users of this potential degradation, and conduct thorough and frequent manual tests.

If there is any indication of degradation advise the end-user to immediately take the system out of service.
