It covers event recognition, information handling sequences and provisions for system layout testing. CP-01-2000 strengthens user interface features to increase prevention and recovery from user-caused false alarms.
"Its essential that we give our dealers and their customers all the false-alarm reduction tools we canincluding ones that go beyond the compliance standard," said DMP Vice President of Sales Gary Kallman. "We're dedicated to innovations in false-alarm prevention that meet todays standards and anticipate future ones."
CP-01 standards for false-alarm reduction include new exit-delay progress annunciation and alarm cancel features, plus fail-to-exit protection and an automatic exit delay restart feature.
ANSI/SIA CP-01 standards are developed in association with security manufacturers, UL and both American and Canadian industry groups.
