DMP And Sur-Gard Announce Receiver Deal

November 19, 2001

Digital Monitoring Products, Inc. (DMP), Springfield, MO, announces an agreement with Sur-Gard, Inc., Concord Ontario, Canada by which Sur-Gard is granted license to include DMPs dial-up alarm communication formats in their receiver systems. This agreement also allows DMP to provide a multi-format receiver that is manufactured by Sur-Gard to be distributed to DMP dealers.

This increases the availability of DMP communication formats throughout the industry, said DMP CEO, Marc Mills. We are very happy to have the DMP protocol included within the industrys most widely accepted receiver, said Mills.

The agreement allows the DMP Serial 1.0, Serial 1.5, and Serial 3.0 advanced digital formats to be included within the Sur-Gard MLR-2000 and newly released MLR2E receiver products.

This is a win-win arrangement for both companies, central station owners and dealers alike, said Nigel Spinks, Sur-Gard General Manager.

It also allows for the future development of DMPs Patented UL-AA listed Internet Monitoring technology to be available in the Sur-Gard receivers and the DMP SCS2, a multi-format receiver custom-made by Sur-Gard for the DMP line.
