New Value For An Old Friend
November 08, 2001
DMP first introduced the Model 1600 Command Processor Control Panel in 1981. The 1612 followed in 1984 and the 1712/1812 in 1986.
The 1600 was revolutionary in many ways because it introduced the industries first system to be controlled by an alphanumeric display. Additionally, SDLC dialer and multiplex communication was ushered into the burglary/fire market by the 1612, and digital network communication to a central station became a reality with the 1712/1812 - a UL listed combination burglary/fire control panel.
The last 1812 rolled off the assembly line in 1995 and DMP has been able to source adequate repair parts for all of these older products. Some components however, are becoming more difficult to provide, and consequently repair service for the 1600, 1612, 1712 and 1812 control panels and accessories will expire January 31, 2002. However, there is new value in our old friends. To continue the DMP commitment to be more than just a vendor, but a partner with our dealers, any 1600, 1612, 1712, or 1812 control panel PCB can be returned for credit against the purchase of a new panel. $20 credit can be earned when purchasing an XR200, and $10 credit when purchasing an XR40. Panel credits are available on a one-to-one basis and can be received from November 15, 2001 to December 31, 2002.
Please call DMP Customer Service at 800-641-4282 for details about how to receive credit for an XR200 or XR40 panel.
