DMP, Springfield, MO, announces it has received the UL 864 Commercial Fire Listing for its Patented Internet Monitoring Technology. The UL Listed iCOM Internet Alarm Router provides a complete network connection between the DMP SCS-1 Central Station Receiver and the DMP XR2400F or XR200 Command Processor Panels. No additional dialer module or intermediate master network server is required as with other systems. iCOM leads the industry in life safety communication by providing proprietary message authentication between the Control Panel and the current SCS-1 Receiver. No new receiver purchase is required. By simply adding an SCS-101 Network Line Card and iCOM to an existing SCS-1 Receiver, you can immediately take advantage of this state-of-the-art communication solution. Because the newly listed iCOM units are available for immediate delivery, DMP is the first manufacturer to deliver Internet/Intranet fire communication products to market since the recent approval from NFPA and UL. It also marks the first approved internet/intranet fire communication which does not require an additional dialer module or phone lines. This listing is actually the second UL fire listing DMP has received for its Internet Monitoring technology. Although network fire communication has only been approved as primary communication for a short time, DMP has been monitoring fire communication under a Supplementary Communication Listing received in March of 1997. DMP also received the industrys first UL-AA High Line Security Listing for Internet or LAN/WAN network communication in February 2001. said Mark Hillenburg, Marketing Manager. iCOM is the third generation network alarm router brought to market by DMP, replacing the highly successful Ether-ComXR Series. With thousands of network and Internet monitored systems deployed worldwide, DMP is very excited to release the iCOM with both commercial fire and burglary listings. The lower price point and simplified installation will help take our industry to the next step in central station communication technology, stated CEO, Marc Mills. The patented DMP technology provides UL accepted remote programming of the control panel via the same path used for monitoring; Internet/Intranet, VPN, LAN or WAN. This flexible solution carries no additional monthly manufacturer master server fees. With task specific hardware and software, the iCOM eliminates the requirement for additional servers or computers that are susceptible to hackers. All signals travel securely and privately from the iCOM to the SCS-1 Receiver without need of a master server site. The iCOM Internet Monitoring System carries the following UL Listings:

UL864 Fire Protective Signaling Systems

UL985 Household Fire Protective Systems

UL1610 Central Station Burglary Alarm Units (Grade AA)

UL365 Police Station Connected Burglary (Grade AA)

UL1076 Proprietary Burglar Alarm Units
