Version 206 Update Effective August 2003, XRSuper6, XR20 and XR40 updates proms are available to be ordered from the factory as version 206 (8/5/03) firmware. This version is an update from the version 205 (6/23/03) firmware and contains new features to the program. The XRSuper6, XR20 and XR40 panel will continue to ship with version 205 (6/23/03) firmware installed until December 1, 2003. Additionally, one of each XRSuper6, XR20, and XR40 version 206 panel update prom automatically ships with every new iCOMSL until December 1, 2003.New FeaturesRLIQpic.JPGRemote Panel Programming The XRSuper6, XR20, and XR40 Command Processor panels now accept remote programming over data networks such as the Internet using an iCOMSL version 101 or higher. No additional panel programming is required once the new firmware update prom is installed.Connection InformationType: Select the type of connection you wish to use to communicate with the panel:SCS-1 / SCS-105: Remote Link is going to communicate with the panel through an SCS-1 or SCS-105 Receiver using a dial-up connection.Network: Remote Link is going to communicate with the panel through a data network connection. Connect the panel to the network through an iCOMTM, iCOM-ETM, or an iCOMSL Internet Alarm Router.Direct: Remote Link is going to communicate with the panel through a direct cable connection.IP Address: Enter the IP network address of the network device, such as an iCOM/iCOM-E, or iCOMSL connected to the panel. This field appears when you select Network in the Type field. Do not enter leading zeros when entering the IP address.Ordering the New Firmware New firmware PROMs may be obtained by calling DMP Customer Service at 1-800-641-4282 and ordering the XRSuper6, XR20, or XR40/206/UPDATE.
