New 1183 Heat Detector Expands List of DMP Wireless Life Safety Devices
November 09, 2011
Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) has announced the 1183 Series Wireless Heat Detector, yet another addition to the growing line of DMP wireless life safety devices. This reliable ceiling-mount detector is available in two versions, one for fixed temperature and another for combination rate-of rise and fixed temperature. Like all DMP wireless devices, the 1183 includes features that enable simple installation and fast setup.
“DMP is committed to expanding wireless security technology,” said Vice President of Sales, Mark NeSmith. “The high reliability, ease of installation, and speed of setup give wireless panels and detectors clear advantages over traditional wired systems. DMP offers a growing list of wireless technology, including door and window contacts, motion and smoke/heat detectors, and PIVs, giving dealers the devices they need to provide customers with effective security solutions.”
The 1183 Series provides dealers with the flexibility of two detector models:
- The 1183-135F is a fixed temperature detector that sends an alarm to the panel if the temperature exceeds 135°F.
- The 1183-135R is a combination fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detector that sends an alarm if the temperature reaches 135° or if the temperature increases by 15°F or more per minute.
The 1183 Wireless Heat Detector is compatible with all DMP panels that are equipped with wireless capability. The new detector includes DMP wireless features that speed and simplify setup, including the Survey LED that provides visual confirmation of communication with the panel. DMP Two-Way technology allows the 1183 to send a signal to the panel and receive an acknowledgement, avoiding repetitive signaling and extending battery life to more than two years.
