Shipping increases make DMP
Free Freight Program more valuable than ever #
With recent announcements of shipping rate increases from FedEx and UPS, DMP reminds customers that its free shipping program will not be impacted by carrier cost hikes.
“FedEx recently announced a General Rate Increase of almost 6% — or more — effective January 6, 2025,” said Marc Mills, DMP’s chief operating officer. “UPS followed suit with similar hikes scheduled for late December,” he added.
Despite those increases, DMP still provides ways for customers to benefit from its free freight program. All orders through DMP will receive free ground shipping for customers who participate in the EFT payment program. Dealers also receive free ground shipping for orders over $1,500 that are paid within 30 days; and dealers in column 4, 5 or 6 receive free ground shipping for all orders — regardless of size — that are paid within 30 days. Orders paid by credit card do not qualify for free shipping.
“Our free freight program is like giving an extra discount to our best customers,” said Jon Adams, DMP vice president of sales. “And the shipping rate increases imposed by carriers make DMP’s free freight program even more valuable.”
Dealers who do not qualify for free shipping are encouraged to place their orders early to avoid the UPS and FedEx increases. “DMP ships most orders the same day they’re placed, so there’s still time to get orders in at the current lower rates,” Mills said.
