7-Inch Touchscreen Keypad Version History

Add Multiple Doorbells

This update allows you to add up to 8 DMP doorbells to your panel or view DMP doorbells already present in Virtual Keypad. By selecting Doorbells from the carousel menu, you can view a list of doorbells. When a doorbell is selected, a doorbell screen appears. You can swipe on this screen to view the next or previous doorbell in the list.

Video Display Update

Previously the keypad used a list view to show cached images. Now, it uses a grid style view to display live thumbnails.

General Usability Update

This update includes various enhancements to the overall usability and performance of the keypad

Improvements

This update allows the 8860 to send a SYSTEM TROUBLE message without sounding when the keypad loses connection with the panel.

Z-Wave Garage Door Update

This release improves the accuracy of Z-Wave garage door statuses and Open/Close actions on all 8860 Series 7-Inch Touchscreen Keypads when connected to the panel keypad bus.

Zone Monitor Alert Updates

This update enhanced the accuracy of Zone Monitor pop-ups, as well as the accuracy of the displayed zone name and zone number when activated. The Zone Monitor alert keypad setting name has also been updated from Alert to Chime.

Favorites Update

With this update, Favorites now display from the keypad.

System Busy Update

System Busy no longer displays when there is only one keypad connected to the keypad bus.

Custom Keypad Message Update

The Customized Keypad Message no longer displays twice.

Bluetooth Disarming Update

Disarming manually before Bluetooth is able to disarm no longer causes the panel to disarm twice. This update allows the keypad to check for the panel’s armed state before disarming.

AC Power Trouble Update

In the event of a battery or system trouble, the keypad now shows the accurate trouble message.

Disarming Update

When disarming a Home/Sleep/Away or All/Perimeter system from the keypad shield icon, the system is no longer looking for a profile with Schedules authority and will disarm properly.

Network Communication Improvements

This update includes various improvements to the network communication feature.

Network Options Update

This update allows the keypad to connect to the panel wirelessly via Wi-Fi network. In the Installer Options menu, select Network Options and press the Enable Panel Communication toggle. XT Series 241 and XR Series Version 231 are required to enable this feature.

Bluetooth Disarming Update

Users can disarm their system with a Bluetooth device when their system is armed in ALL or AWAY. When the user returns and trips an exit zone, the entry delay will initiate and the keypad will begin scanning for Bluetooth devices. If the keypad discovers a previously paired device and connects to it, the system will disarm.

Keypad Bus Update

The previous 8860 firmware placed a ground on the data wires of the keypad bus during a remote firmware update. This occasionally caused unnecessary zone messages and actions. If you have zones programmed on zone expanders or keypads on the keypad bus, we recommend that you install the reset jumper on the control panel when you are on site and installing a firmware update. Once you have updated the keypad to firmware Version 186.1.0.1134, this operation will no longer be necessary.

V-6000 Support Update

This update allows the 8860 keypad to display live video and video event clips from V-6000 Series Cameras.

Voice Annunciation Update

This update introduces the ability for the keypad to annunciate that a pre-defined zone name has been opened when the zone is tripped. If a zone name does not match one of the pre-defined names, the keypad will annunciate the zone number and appropriate message. For a list of pre-defined zone names, refer to the 8860 7-Inch Touchscreen Keypad Installation and Programming Guide (LT-2713).

Users can enable the keypad voice annunciation with the toggle and adjust the annunciation volume with the slider in the Brightness and Volume settings menu.

Z-Wave Thermostat Update

Previously, if the thermostat temperature dropped below 55°F, the keypad would incorrectly display the temperature as 55°F. This update allows the keypad to display the correct room temperature on the keypad at all temperatures.

Disarm from Keypad Update

If the keypad was connected to an XR150/XR550 Series panel and set up as an Area System with multiple areas and at least one exit zone, the keypad would display the Menu option instead of the Disarm option after the exit zone went into alarm. This update allows the keypad to display the disarming prompts so the user can disarm the system.

Video Doorbell Live View Update

This update allows the customer to press the video doorbell button to display the live video feed and answer the call.

Z-Wave Garage Door Update

This update allows the customer to press the Z-Wave Garage Door OPEN and CLOSE buttons and have the proper animation display on the keypad.

Entry Delay Update

On occasion, some keypads would not display the enter code message during the panel entry delay. This update allows users to enter their user code on the keypad during the entry delay.

Private Label Update

This update improves the private label function for 8860 Touchscreen Keypads on Dealer Admin. Dealers can upload their logo and Dealer Information to Dealer Admin and have it display on their customer’s keypad.

Video Doorbell Volume Update

This update improves the video doorbell volume control. The user can set the video doorbell volume level and it will remain at that level after exiting the video doorbell view.

Z-Wave Thermostat Controls Update

This update resolves an issue where the Z-Wave Thermostat controls may shift off screen when attempting to increase or decrease the temperature settings.

Screen Freezing Improvement

This update resolves an issue where on occasion some keypads became unresponsive. This update will prevent the keypad from remaining in an unresponsive state.

Zone Monitor Alert Update

This update resolves an issue where the zone monitor alert would display the zone number instead of the zone name in the zone monitor alert pop-up screen. This pop-up screen will time out after 2 minutes.

Time Display Update

This update resolves an issue where the keypad would display midnight as 0000 instead of 12:00.

Wi-Fi Password Information Improvement

This update adds an incorrect password alert when a Wi-Fi password is not entered correctly.

Display Improvement

This update features the LED backlight turning off when the display brightness is set to the lowest setting. To have the LED screen display, set your brightness to 1 setting above off.

Zone Name and Z-Wave Device Name Improvements
