Version 252 | March 13, 2025

Time Change

This update allows the panel to receive time updates from SecureCom Wireless® Servers. This option can be enabled in panel programming on the keypad or on Dealer Admin. To receive time updates from SecureCom Wireless Servers, complete the following steps:

  1. At the keypad, enter 6653 (PROG) and select CMD to enter the programming menu.
  2. In SYSTEM OPTIONS, go to REQUEST TIME CHG and select one of the following options:
    • NO — Do not request time update
    • SCS — Request time update from the monitoring center receiver
    • SCW — Request time update from SecureCom Wireless
  3. In DST, select YES to observe daylight saving time. This option is only available if you selected SCW

Zone Location

This update allows you to assign zones an optional secondary name to give further clarification on the location of a zone. Zone Location provides the monitoring center additional support and promotes quicker response times from monitoring center operators and first responders. The secondary name is only visible to the monitoring center and does not display on the keypad.

This option can be enabled in panel programming on the keypad or on Dealer Admin. To add a Zone Location to a zone, complete the following steps:

  1. At the keypad, enter 6653 (PROG) and select CMD to enter the programming menu.
  2. In Zone Information, enter the Zone Number and Zone Name, then proceed to the next prompt.
  3. The Zone Location prompt appears after Zone Name. Press any select key or area and then enter up to 32 characters for the zone location. This prompt can also remain blank, and the zone name is sent to the Monitoring Center instead.
  4. Press CMD to continue.

Sempro Communication

Previously, systems without a programmed communication path could not send messages to SecureCom Wireless servers. Now, systems communicating with Dealer Admin send messages regardless if they have a communication path programmed, allowing for push notifications and analytics in Dealer Admin and Virtual Keypad.

Caution: It is not recommended moving panels from the Current Version to a Previous Version.

Version 242 | January 10, 2025

DualSIM Activation

This update allows for the activation of the 263LTE-2 Cellular Communicator, which connects to both Verizon and AT&T cellular carriers, providing an additional backup communication method. You can choose to activate Verizon, AT&T, or both carriers on Dealer Admin.

Once DualSIM is activated, carriers can also be switched to ATT, VZW, or BOTH in the panel’s DIAG (Diagnostics) menu if remote connectivity is unavailable.

Signal Strength Test

Upon being powered on, the panel selects a primary carrier. Once the primary is established, the panel tests the signal strength of the primary every hour. During the test, if the primary’s signal drops by 10db or more, the panel then tests the backup carrier. If the backup has a stronger signal, it becomes the new primary. Every five hours, the panel automatically tests the backup’s signal strength to determine the stronger signal.

This firmware update is available on Dealer Admin (dealer.securecomwireless.com).

Test Report Update

The test report is now sent on a daily basis at the programmed test time.

Inspection Reminder Update

To remain in compliance, Fire Alarm Control Panels require an inspection every 3 months, every 6 months, or once a year. Previously, the inspection scheduling was organized by the installing or servicing company.

Now, Version 241 allows XF6 Series Panels and 7830F Graphic Remote Annunciators to include inspection reminders for fire systems. This allows for the panel to remind the Dealer, Monitoring Center, and End User that an inspection needs to be performed to remain in compliance.

When an inspection is due, the keypad annunciates and displays a message reminding the user that their inspection is due soon. The end user can acknowledge the reminder to silence and clear the message.

A technician can enter into the keypad menu and select that they have completed the inspection. This will reset the inspection reminder countdown.

Test Report Update

The test report is now sent on a daily basis at the programmed test time.

Status List Update

Zone messages will be displayed in the status list after a user selects STOP in the programming menu.

Ground Fault Update

When an XF6 Series panel is running on backup battery, the panel will still check for ground faults.
